Privacy policy for Glanceline

Glanceline is made by Hadoken Productions. It is a paid app for Android phones. You pay once, and that payment is for a lifetime. The price is shown in the Google Play Store.

What Glanceline does

Glanceline is a teleprompter and a video camera. It shows your script on the screen and records you while you read it. The recording is saved on your phone, in Movies/Glanceline.

Camera and microphone

The app asks for the camera so you can see yourself and record the picture. It asks for the microphone so the video has sound. That includes the phone’s own microphone and a microphone you plug in or pair.

The camera and microphone are used only while Glanceline is open and you are previewing or recording. The app does not watch or listen in the background. Video and audio are not uploaded. They stay on your phone until you delete them.

What stays on your phone

Your script, text size, colours, scroll speed, camera choices, and audio choices are saved only on the phone, so they are still there the next time you open the app. Glanceline has no account and no login.

Payment

The one-time fee is handled by Google Play. Hadoken Productions does not receive your card number. Google Play keeps the payment record.

Contact

If you tap Contact under Settings › About and then Send, or use the Contact page on this website, your email app opens with a message to [email protected]. You send that email yourself. Glanceline does not run its own mail server. We receive only what you choose to write, and we use it to answer you. We do not add it to a mailing list.

Double clap

If you switch on Double clap in Settings › Remote, Glanceline listens for two claps while it is open on screen, to start or stop a recording. This happens on your phone. The sound is not stored or sent anywhere.

Links

The welcome screen links to the guide on our website. If you tap the link, your web browser opens the page. Glanceline itself has no internet access.

What we do not do

Glanceline has no ads and no tracking. It does not sell your information. It does not share video, audio, or scripts with anyone else.

Like every website host, Cloudflare may keep standard technical logs, such as IP addresses and the time of a visit, to keep the site running and secure.

Children

Glanceline is not made for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new text will be on this page and in the app, with a new date.
